Ampere is one of the rising players in the EV market acquired by Greaves, and they are booming in the electric 2-wheeler market. The most popular electric scooter from the company is the Ampere Magnus, but there’s another electric scooter by the name Ampere Zeal EX that has similar specifications and features but is 10,000 cheaper than the Magnus. Why is that?
In this article, why the Ampere Magnus cost you more than the Ampere Zeal despite having the same specs and features.
Design Magnus vs Zeal:
From the first look, the Zeal electric scooter feels less fashioned and compact, whereas the Ampere Magnus EX looks like the one that takes up space and can have a significant road presence. The body and panels of the Magnus EX scooter feel like they have enough tolerance to withstand the damage.
The headlight, brake lever, rear mirror, pillion holder, foot peg, mainstand, and seat quality look more premium on the Ampere Magnus EX when compared to the Zeal EX.
Features:
Various features which are available in Ampere Magnus EX but lack in Zeal EX:

- Larger and more visible dashboard
- The Magnus EX has a larger boot space and a boot lamp.
- Premium quality buttons
- Larger Seat
Battery and charging time:
Both scooters get the same battery and charging time and the same top speed.
Performance:
So, I did the riding test by having both the Magnus EX and Zeal EX side by side, and the results were shocking.
Surpassingly, the Zeal EX surpassed the Magnus EX in terms of overtaking acceleration and pickup speed.
I test-ride both scooters four times, and Zeal EX won against the Magnus EX every time.
Final Verdict:
The Ampere Magnus is a better electric scooter from the usability point of view and whereas Ampere Zeal EX is an affordable scooter with a lower quality.
