BGauss D15 pro-Electric scooter Review after half year– 2023

Today we’re gonna share the review of BGauss D15 pro electric scooter after ownership of half a year. The owner purchased the scooter half a year ago and here’s how he explains this tenure of owning the BGausse D15.

Why EV:

The owner Shivam wanted a vehicle for local commutation that could save money, give great riding experience, and have a sturdy body that could withstand heavy usage.

Why BGauss:

Because it has a strong metal body unlike any other electric scooter like Ola, TVS iQube, etc. and the company’s services are reliable.

Service center experience:

Earlier while driving the scooter Shivam faced an issue with its mode-switching button but after taking it to the service center the company simply replaced the scooter without any hassle.

About the lighting:

In the front you get the DRLs along with high beam and low beam lights, on the side you get weak but pretty good working indicators, in the back you again get LED lights that work well.

Braking and suspension:

The BGauss D15 electric scooter gets drum brakes on both sides which work pretty well with the small wheels and its top speed. Talking about its suspension, it has an inverted fork suspension in the front, and in the rear, you get dual-shock absorbers. With 16 inches tires along with alloy wheels, it gives a good riding experience.

Charging time:

The scooter goes from 0-80% in 3 hours but needs 3 more hours to go further from 80-100% so in total it takes nearly 6 hours to charge whereas it juices up almost full in 3 hours.

Pricing:

The scooter cost Shivam 1.36 lakhs on the road but after getting a subsidy it cost him just 1.26 lakhs.

Favorite features:

  • The pickup: It’s got some insane power & pickup and it easily surpasses all the ICE vehicles on the road.
  • Reverse mode: This is one of the features that only premium segment electric scooters have and having reverse mode helps a lot to get away from difficult spots.
  • Flood/waterproof: Shivam took the scooter into flooded roads and heavy rainy conditions but didn’t even get a single scratch.

Boot space:

The scooter has got none or very little boot space under the seat as its lithium battery takes over all the space within the scooter. In the front, you get a glove box to keep your nic-nacs.

Taking Test Ride:

During the test ride, I made the scooter pass through bumpy road conditions, and speed breaks and also tested its performance on the highway. It easily managed to pass the poor road conditions, the suspensions worked well, the seat was comfortable, and overall gave me a comfortable riding experience.

Its pickup was fine and it reached the 40 in rear about 7 sec.

Summarizing:

The greatest USP of this scooter is its metal body and sturdy retro look. With its performance, range, and battery capacity, 1.26 lakhs seems to be a fair price for this electric scooter. You should go for this electric scooter.
