MG Comet+ E-car Reviews, Range, and Pros & cons – 2023

MG Comet is a compact and affordable segment electric car that can be purchased for just 10 Lakhs in India. But buying the Comet EV is a financially intelligent decision or is it just a cheap EV at a low price? Let’s uncover the question in this blog post and look at what’s inside the MG Comet EV, what performance you get and how long its battery lasts.

MG ZS EV Review:

Design:

The Comet EV is super compact and resembles the OG “Tata Nano” (Which unfortunately failed in India). This is a 3-seater EV with significantly less space left for the rear passenger.

From the front: You get an MG logo which upon pushing opens up the charging slot. Above that and on the bonnet, you get the LED continuing from one end to another. Coming down you get LED lights with high/low beam options, indicators, grills and a small ground clearance.

From side profile: From the side profile your eyes will first drop on the 14-inch tire with disk on the front & drum brakes in the rear and it has no alloy on the wheel it consists of a wheel cap.

Colour: The MG Comet EV comes in 5 colours and each car comes in dual-tone black and either Apple Green, white, Silver, candy white, or starry black with an ‘Electric logo’ on the side.

It does have a four-window setup design for both the front passengers and the rear passengers. But the rear window doesn’t open.

Keyless Entry:

The MG Comet EV provides a cute circular key with which you can lock/unlock the car, and it also comes with a keyless entry feature. It automatically unlocks itself as the owner with the key comes near the car and locks as the user moves away from the car.

Interior:

Despite being the most affordable electric car in India it comes with one of the most premium features like voice command, stylish internet connectivity, premium interior design, stylish cover, rich material used, good quality dashboard, and much more.

Voice Assistance:

Just say hello MG and ask any question or command action to perform like, playing music, radio, volume control, etc.

In case you don’t want to use the voice command you can also use innovative features via the buttons on your steering wheel.

Mode Navigation:

You can change the driving modes using the buttons on your dashboard. It has only two modes eco and sports mode and in eco mode, you can get 190kms of real-world driving range.

Battery:

It has a battery of 3.3kW with a charging time of 7 hours with no fast-charging support. It has IP-67 Rated battery placed below the car.

Besides you get a motor control (gearbox) to control the car’s riding, Drive mode, reverse mode, charging and neutral.

Rear Seating:

Looking at it the first time I thought it’d be congested for the pillion rider which it definitely is. For entering the rear seat you get the option to enter from the front gate and if you have put on some weight sitting on the backside of this car may become challenging for you.

Riding Experience:

You may have to compromise with the features and sitting comfort but you get good performance in range, acceleration and speed. Although it accelerates a bit slower than other electric cars it does got some real power inside.
